The Hotel Endsleigh
Looking down on to the river Tamar and tucked into a valley on the edge of Dartmoor, the Endsleigh opened last summer and was created by Olga Polizzi, the woman behind the hotel Tresanton in St Mawes. Endsleigh was the Duchess of Bedfords shooting and fishing lodge her garden was designed by Humphrey Repton, who also worked on the park at Port Eliot. The hotel is exquisite, and the restaurant is open to non residents for lunch, afternoon teas and dinner. Well worth a visit. There is a shell grotto in the gardens and over 100 acres of woodland to explore. Peregrine and Catherine spent the first three nights of their honeymoon there.
